Guarantee
All Suttons products should reach you in perfect condition, just as they left us. If you are dissatisfied in any way with their condition on arrival, please let us know within 14 days and we'll arrange a replacement or refund. We are only liable for the cost of the goods (plus any carriage charge) as quoted on the website.
Carriage Charge
Orders of Packet Seeds, Garlic, Onion Sets, Shallots and Mushrooms only incur a charge of £0.95.
Orders for all other products incur a carriage charge of £3.95.
Where an order includes both packet seed and other items, only the charge of £3.95 will apply.
The Isles of Man and Scilly, Northern Ireland, plus the Scottish Highlands and Islands: for orders weighing less than 2kg the normal UK mainland carriage charge applies. Where the combined weight of the order is 2kg and above, the carriage contribution is £9.95.
The Channel Islands and Southern Ireland: for orders weighing less than 2kg the normal UK mainland carriage charge applies. Where the combined weight of the order is 2kg and above, the carriage contribution is £12.95. We reserve the right to contact you and advise an additional charge where necessary, and are happy to quote for carriage of specific products to outlying areas. Some very large items may not be available to all areas.
Order Despatch
Orders are despatched promptly by post or parcel carrier, but please allow 7-10 days for delivery. Seasonal items such as plants are sent separately and specific delivery times are stated against each variety both in our catalogues and on our website. You will receive an order acknowledgement by post or email. Important information about the delivery of young plants can be seen here.
Export Orders
We are able to despatch packet seeds only (excluding lawn seed) to private customers in other EU Countries (except the Irish Republic). A minimum order value of £5.00 applies together with carriage charge of £3.95. We regret that we are unable to accept orders from private customers for despatch outside the EU.
Republic of Ireland

Payment
We accept payment for online orders by Visa (including Visa Electron), Mastercard, Maestro (Switch) or Delta. In order to keep administration costs low, and to avoid issues where credit & debit cards expire before delivery, cards are debited when the order is first processed. If items subsequently become unavailable, a full refund will be issued.
Prices
Prices include VAT where applicable. We reserve the right to revise any prices in the event of unforeseen circumstances or a change in the VAT rate.
Substitutes
The supply of goods listed is subject to availability, and we may send the best available substitute for a variety out of stock. If this is not possible, we shall send a credit for amounts under £1.00, for use against future purchases. Refunds are made for amounts above this value, or in any case on request. Should our alternative not prove acceptable, please do not hesitate to contact us and we will forward a refund to cover the cost of the item not available.
Product Descriptions
Information given about products is to the best of our knowledge, and is for general guidance only. All dimensions and capacities are approximate. Also please remember that environmental factors can affect plant growth.
Seed Quality
The germination and purity of all scheduled seeds comply with EU seeds legislation currently in force. You can read about our committment to quality.

In the event of any query, or claim for goods lost or damaged in transit, please quote the Account Number or your full address. Contact our Customer Services Department.
Waste Electrical & Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Directive
Under these regulations we are obliged to offer our customers free take-back of their WEEE on a like-for-like basis when they buy a new electrical or electronic product from us. Such items can be returned to us (carriage paid by customer) at our normal address, within 28 days of purchasing the new item. We will then ensure proper environmental disposal. Recycling reduces the environmental and health risks associated with sending electrical goods to landfill. All new electrical goods should be marked with the crossed-out wheeled bin symbol and be disposed of separately from household waste.
Complaints
It is our aim to acknowledge complaints within 5 working days, and we will provide a likely timescale for resolving the dispute and keep you advised about progress.
Cancellation
If you wish to cancel an order, you should contact our Customer Services Department. If your order is for non-perishable goods, you have the right to cancel your order at any time up to 7 working days after receipt. You must take reasonable care of the goods whilst in your possession and they must be returned to us, promptly, at your costs. If the item is large, then we can arrange collection for you and will charge you for this at cost. We reserve the right to cancel any order. Your statutory rights are not affected by any of these business terms.
Privacy and Data Protection
We are committed to protecting your privacy. We will only use the information that we collect about you lawfully (in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998). We collect information about you for 2 reasons: firstly, to process your order and second, to provide you with the best possible service. We may use cookies to assemble your order, but they contain no personal information. We will give you the chance to refuse any marketing email from us or from another trader in the future.
The type of information we will collect about you includes:

We will never collect sensitive information about you without your explicit consent. The information we hold will be accurate and up to date. You can check the information that we hold about you by emailing us. If you find any inaccuracies we will delete or correct it promptly.
